Anybody know a tuber like this guy?
I stumbled down the YouTube rabbit hole the other day and man, some of these tubes make mine look like child's play.
I've seen float tubes with enough PVC pipe to plumb a three-bedroom house.
Six rod holders. Two sonar units. An electric trolling motor!!
Four tackle boxes. A cooler. A net. Batteries. Cables. Switches.
More batteries.
And enough miscellaneous shit strapped to the thing that I'm pretty sure one guy could provide shore power to the marina if we just gave him an extension cord.
And here I am sitting in my little inflatable donut, kicking around with two rods and a small tackle box.
I just picked up a DJI action cam a few weeks ago, so I strap that on me now too, just in case my life insurance company needs proof of death.
But honestly, that's about the extent of my setup.
And you know what?
It works. If I sink, I won't create the most expensive artificial reef in harbor history.
I fished Newport about a month ago, and I was surprised at how little I actually needed.
I've been finding some really good water around high tide, especially in those little tight corners and along the seawalls where us peons can't exactly go walking around and fishing.
Which means those fish don't see a whole lot of pressure.
It's just about being able to get into the right water at the right time and put something in front of a fish that hasn't seen it fifty times already.
