Mission Bay 12/22

Post by mcquade outdoors »

Fished the back of mission bay, afternoon outgoing tide. Was joping to get on a crankbait bite but they werent into it. Switched to the trusty weedless fluke and the bite was on. Loads of bait in clearish water. Nothing big but fun on light line.

Speaking of which, do you SUP guys use your normal hook set or modify it to keep from losing balance?

A lot of guys sit down to not lose balance. I dont really have that problem, when in san diego, the fish aren't big enough to need to really set the hook that hard. When im in FL, you can see my whole body move because you swing for the fences 1/2 the time on bigger fish.

McQuade Outdoors, you mind sharing your braid/leader details. I hear that telltale braid sound through the eyelets.

Thanks!! I did see the 10 to 10 connection in another video you made. Watched a bunch last night. Not sure what’s more impressive, your fishing skills or your SUP skills!! 😉👏
