Still going..

The V is still going! Did a short session on 8/13 from open till about 9:30. Ended up with 9 total. Mostly smaller fish but managed to find two fish over 3lbs. As has been the trend lately for me there, shallow cover was the key.

San V is one of the few consistent lakes this year, good job getting on them!

Nice work. Good numbers and fish and you got out before the crowds.

Awesome! Really nice catches! I'd like to float tube San V again. It's been years!

Just do it Dannicus. The great thing about San V is there are plenty of Bass close to the Launch Ramp. Easily accessible, no long kick.

No joke! There were literally hundreds of bass, little fry to 1-2lb clones, just hanging out at the bottom of the ramp Sunday when my buddy and I trailered the boat.

Thanks guys, I will definitely give it a go. Do they still have a shuttle to ferry you down to the water from where you park the car. Only asking because my old knees really need to know :)

I saw a golf cart shuttling last week. Many more walks up that ramp and I might catch one lol.

Have you ever noticed that the shuttle is always at the opposite end of the ramp when you need it? It seems like in 50+ years of fishing San V, I would of timed the shuttle right at least once....

The gents in the tackle store will gladly give you a ride down, might have to wait for them to finish a sale. Going up, bum a ride with someone trailering back up.

Well, I don’t fish San V that often, especially in the last few years, but I’ve never got a ride up that long ramp. I’m pretty outgoing but it’s hard for me to go up to somebody’s truck and ask him if I could have a ride up the hill. If I am still fishing and have a cane or a walker, I’m not gonna be so meek…. Ha ha :-)

I'm with you VinnyBass, I actually drag my kayak all the up and all the way down that ramp, rather than ask. :)

Well, I know where he’s coming from as a few months ago my knee went out. Was kneeling on the ground and painting this painting for about five hours, up and down. Needed a cane the first month, the pain was something else. Answered prayer is that it’s perfectly fine today, plus I sold the painting while it was still wet! I fished from sunrise to sunset a couple weeks ago, so knee is back to normal, thank you Lord.
