Here's what happened on Barrett for me today. Got out in the dark, like you are supposed to. First fish at 0540. At that time it's not dark anymore.

Took a while to get fish, but eventually there were fish. Here's the stats: Topwater 0, Jerkbait (Silver) 13, Jig 4, Dropshot Roboworm 3, and adding in, the crankbait came alive with 5 good size fish. Went to pine arm today and that's where most of these fish were caught. Pine arm is an expanse now. Or maybe it just seemed a lot bigger. It's definitely a lot deeper. Water temp varied between 72 and 75. Wind came up on the way back and was once again howling. While pedaling my kayak back, I let my mind wander between the various Beaufort numbers, trying to remember the descriptions. For all those who paddle, pedal or kick their float tubes, there's a certain sarcasm to a "fresh breeze" since that's a 20mph wind.
Here's a picture of the northeast corner of Pines. And some of the fish.
