Superbowl Sunday

Post by maraxus »

Spent 2 hours in the afternoon trying my luck from the shore. Got couple of bites but only managed to catch a single calico.

Definitely not complaining, I got a few bites and even managed to catch a fish. Beats getting skunked, plus the beach was fairly empty due to superbowl

Sunday was slow. Not sure why. Friday and Saturday were hot bites. My buddy limited out in basses with 1.5 hours.

Wow, that's a nice haul! I only had a chance to fish Sunday late afternoon and it was indeed slow. And a pesky seagull stole almost half my bait shrimps from where I hid them, so I had to cut my session short. Also, interestingly I was unable to catch any opal eye this winter. Only managed to fish a handful of times, but usually I get an opal eye or two this time of the year. Maybe my hook is too big for them.

Same here. I had a minor surgery on thumb last week and had to take a few days off the water. A few buddies of mine went on Friday and Saturday. They sent me pictures to make me feel better... Not!
