Cap on Fri.
Tried my luck there on Friday- Sunrise to sunset. Reports from other anglers- it was slow going! Fisheromen joined me for first half of the day and a different friend the second half. Paul and I only got two the first half, one each, and I got four more the second half. All topwater but one bedfish in a.m.. Super cold and foggy first two hours. Water 67, but up to 72 be late afternoon. Fog looked great for top but just didn’t happen. Later got fish on spooks, poppers, and frogs (or follow up worms). Paul’s on plastic but he found it tough to fish plastics with all the slime growth. Much worse than the previous Friday.

Re: Cap on Fri.
It's a very strange year on the City lakes..everywhere feels like it's about a month behind normal...if there is a normal!

Nice work! I didn’t see any surface activity yesterday at all early, at least in the front of the lake and back in Chocolate, aside from Carp. That moss is definitely a challenge right now, having to pick it off your baits every cast, and your weight gets covered in it and you can no longer feel the bottom.

We didn't see any surface action either. Not until the lure went above their heads that is.CorsoEnthusiast wrote: ↑Sun Apr 30, 2023 2:52 pm Nice work! On second thought, we did see some surface action... a small rattler swam by. Always waiting to see a lunker take one down sometime.
