Better than Last Week

Post by RamonaAngler »

Hit my home lake again on Saturday 8/12. Had a better day. Was able to boat 4 and had 2 missed hook sets on drop shot and a missed popper hook set. Also had 2 break off. Still a fun day at Sutherland, finally!

I've thought about fishing Sutherland, but I fish exclusively out of a float tube (living full time in an RV in my retirement it works for me!). I drove by the lake in early spring and it was windy, and I had no idea how I'd approach it, so I put it on the back burner.

I see you fish Murray quite a bit. I think we may have seen each other a few times there.

Actually you have seen me at Murray. We talked the other week. Brett(aka RamonaAngler) fishes Sutherland mostly as that is his home lake. Anyway tight lines to you and glad to see bass action starting to improve up at Sutherland as Brett shared with us.

Nice job Brett. The fishing is just now starting to improve and the dang lake is closing next month. Look forward to some more reports
from you and hope to see some nice frog eating bass in your posts. Tight lines my friend. :-)

I only get to Murray about 2-3 times a year. Mostly Sutherland and quite a few trips to San Vicente this year with the water level so high at
Sutherland you couldn't even launch your boat. Float tubes can launch easily at Sutherland.

Thanks Vinny! Yeah, I can't believe how fast this year is going. One more month and a half and Sutherland will be closed. I'll be heading down to San V after the end of September. I've had more luck on my frog this year at San V than at Sutherland. But, as you know, I'll keep throwing frogs no matter what lake I'm on. Take care Vinny...see you out there.
