5/10 Barrett report
Great to be back at the Big B in 2023. Good thing we had our rain gear on as it came down loading the boat and the ride down Hauser. Between it being dark, raining and the super full lake we couldn’t find our old spots. When it got light I started with the spinner bait for nada. Switched to the whopper plopper for some topwater action and picked up a couple. However, by this time my brother Todd was flipping senkos and brush hogs by the tree and brush and was hammering them. I followed his lead and had a steady pick of two pounders. Biggest of the day might have been three and only one dink. Day turned out pretty nice but the bite really died down around 9. Got a couple at the end in deeper water on my trusty craw bait. Wrapped it up at 11. Todd got 28 to my 24. Lotta fun and a lotta laughs and old stories.

That’s sounds like an epic morning of fishing to me. I’ll take that any day!

Nice job out there on a cool morning @Big C. Looks like you and your brother had a fun morning. Glad to see you getting a little action in
on the water and fine tuning things for your Minnesota trip and future Barrett adventures.
