So after a bad morning or waking up late, forgetting my tackle bag half way to barret then turning around for it,missed the exit to the freeway,then driving behind the slowest grandama on earth going up the hill......... finally made it to the pigs where parking was a mess and launched. Meet with
@Early release down at hauser and the morning turned around. Dave was throwing topwater and really pushed me out of my comfort zone.Didnt do too much travel cause fish was busting everywhere in the AM. Threw the sammie and started landed them after a couple of hour of non stop topwater wanted to try something else i had a new megabass swimbait tied and on the first hit it got completely destroyed. The hit was so hard i felt the pain of my swimbait getting rip apart
. switch to a crankbait landed 4 no takers after 20 30 minutes switch again to the sammie and begin hitting again
Bite really slowed down around 10ish? i Trig a red lizard after one fish just to get my plastic itch out the way i put it down and grab the crank again once the sun came up hot it completely died off a few busters here and there by 11 we started to head back I stopped at the first cove by pigs, threw topwater,wacky rig,trig,crank,big worms,small worms,swimbait,no takers.... flipped the same route out and pick up 2 more fish on the lizard
Another amazing day at barret was a pleasure to fish with
