Murray and Hodges
16 bass between Hodges on Wed. and Murray on Fri. all on this new little crankbait I just got that's about the size of my thumb. It's an Evergreen PC-5 in Baby Bluegill color. Dives quickly to 10 feet and runs perfectly true out of the box. It's a bit pricey at $15, but I can't argue with the results. And what a blast on light tackle!

Re: Murray and Hodges
Results is always the key and that little bait already proved and paid for itself with the bass action you got. You have really been having a lot of fun out there with that light tackle and the bass like it too!

Hmmm…I have a bluegill color squarebill that might just have to get busy in the am. Thanks for the report!

Re: Murray and Hodges
Happy for you bendopolo. Sounds like you have really figured out how to do the whole fishing thing much better and cheaper than me.
Personally I was just trying to tell people about a new lure that I am excited about and has been working well for me.
Thanks for taking the time to once again share your unsolicited otherworldly double-digit fishing prowess and teaching the rest of us poor sots how to do it better!

Re: Murray and Hodges
I have been using that little Daiwa SC shad and it's been good for me, it only dives about 3-4 feet, but I think they are going a bit deeper than they were a month ago, so your suggestion really seems like a good one to me. I ordered some this morning. Thanks!

Re: Murray and Hodges
Way to go on the BFS pursuit of largemouth bass! Back in the day I always wanted a bait caster that would allow me to throw 4 and 6 lb. test, without the line getting in gap between the spool and frame of the reel. Nice to see they figured that out. Going to have to look into it and maybe ditch the spinning tackle?

Re: Murray and Hodges
I literally got rid of all my spinning gear! Well except one high end trout rod and reel. I suspect it will see little use anymore thoughKillinTime wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2024 12:19 pm Way to go on the BFS pursuit of largemouth bass!
