Re: Lake Poway trout season is still on!

Chatmar wrote: Wed Apr 05, 2023 5:42 am Happy I finally found sdfish.com and to see a post. I guess this new location has only 9 members. I hope all the past members return soon
It's too bad the other website had to close. We do need a fishing website with no politics here in SoCal.

Re: Float tube essentials....

I use an old beef jerky zip lock bag, the hooks don't snag in that type plastic and it takes up less room than a tub. Either way, critical for saltwater fishing.

Nice Red ear sunfish

I just found the site and wanted to get things going again. I got this nice red ear sunfish at lake 5 on a night crawler.

If you launch from the boat dock area, these areas are really good. I mean honestly, every part of the shore is catchable.where that island is, is a great spot especially the long point above it which is all under water

Re: Barrett Blue Gill

Crappie jigs work well. A lot of decent bycatch bass on them also. There are some secondary points just north of the big rock face north of Wilson creek and pigs point. Find those. Cast out on them with a crappie jig (the road runner jigs with the tiny under spin work great). Work the bottom, once y...

Re: What it’s all about.

I remember the first time I taught my son how to flyfish. I took him down to the San Joaquin and he ended up catching 25 rainbows his first day..I don't know if I was more excited or if he was! I had to convince him it wouldn't always be that way! The following year, I took him to the inlet at Rock ...

Up date from our home in Kentucky

Big pond pic.png We finally made the transition to becoming Kentucky residents!! Life is a little slower, laid back, and enjoying the country life. After adding structure to the pond and 25 lbs. of fathead minnows, there is still a long way to go in getting the bass fishery to where it needs to be....

Tiny jig has been killing it at Murray.

I've been absolutely killing it at Murray.  Fishing my BFS setup with a 1/16 oz Keitech Mono Spin jig paired with a Z-Man 2.5 inch TRD Crawz.  Both in green pumpkin. I must have caught 20 keeper sized bass in my last 2 trips.   https://i.servimg.com/u/f20/20/42/12/38/img_2074.jpg https://i.servimg.c...

San V 1/29 Way tougher day

Bluebird skies + ZERO breeze until 2:30 - an algae bloom + 20ft visibility = Tough fishing! Hit the ground running this morning with a fish on my 4th cast of the day slow rolling a spinnerbait from deep to shallow. As it got lighter it was obvious that there was no algae bloom going on so the water ...
