Beautiful spawn colors.
Even though I've been up there over ten years, I've yet to see a bear. Beautiful pics.

Re: fishing spot between Liberty Station park and Corvette diner
The bones do come in there on the flood tides.
There's much better spots to fish as a bank beater, even putting in months worth of time at this spot never yielded anything much compared to other productive areas. Only thing guaranteed is a case of deafness after a couple planes take off.

I'm more interested in how they flew across the Atlantic.

Re: Anyone use just braid with no leader?
The main reason is abrasion resistance, under tension, PE based lines tend to shear easily. They also have a strong tendency to float which can hider some presentations especially finesse ones like weightless wacky. Other than that the only other reason to use a FC or mono leader is for shock absorp...

Re: What combo has a more forgiving drag, smooth fight?
Thumb “technique” at your own risk. I’ve witnessed many many MANY fish lost with people thumbing the spool when a fish is trying to run. But the OP is aiming for LMB, no need to be gentle, just grind them in. With braid, use a thicker hook and break their necks with fast reeling. They are a hard mo...

Wow, the HOA giving you grief!
Interesting how he never asked for your military ID. Should call Bill the Lawman to recite the California Constitution to them.

Re: Best Huddleston/ big bass lake in SD
Jim died a few years back, but the legend lives on! I'll upload his advertisement when I get settled in to Washington. Jim used quite a bit more than just his home poured worms to pull teens out of Murray, but I'm sure if he wanted you to know what he did or how he did it, he would have told you! B...

De Anza Project (Fishing ban likely inbound)
https://www.sandiego.gov/planning/work/park-planning/de-anza Comment period is ending soon on the 13th. If you fish North Mission, or want to in the future, you will want to weigh in. I remember a few members of this board would get together back in the day for some good fishing fun up there, but it...
