June 25 Report

Certainly not the Big B of old but still fun. Like a whole new lake with the level near full. All my spots of the previous years gone and replaced by new great looking zones. Took a while to find any numbers but they are there. Small plastics and senkos were working early. Angry slab bluegill everyw...

Barrett report July 8

Hi all, Got on the water at 0420 today. Slight wind making a small chop on the water then. Pedaled over to Hauser and Becky's cove for the first light, which took a while. Whole lot of nothing. Zip. Nada. Of course on my first cast I had a boil that almost pulled my kayak in, so then I was determine...

Barrett report July 15th

Hello all, Saturday was a nice day at Barrett. Sometimes I think it's easy to forget how amazing our world is and our sport gives us some interesting perspectives I'd think. Here's the morning, and it's possibilities. thumbnail_IMG_9773.jpg Now for the details; Got on the water by 0435. Pedaled over...

Guajome Carp

They are in there and I tend to try for them with very light tackle (my sierra trout setup). If you can get away from the turtles you may find some nice ones.

Re: Hurricane Hilary: Category 4 storm barrels toward California

...or hopefully Murray will be back to where it was a few years ago.
On a serious note...the high winds are what I am worried about.
Hope everyone is prepared as best they can and hope everyone stays safe.

only 3 hooks are allowed in freshwater. so if you have more arms cut off the hooks at the bend and glue on your plastic.

I can never understand people that feel the need to bother a fisherman. Looks like you handled it just fine.
