Everyone on the Hernandez side that I have encountered has been very courteous and the fish just keep on coming.

There has been a strong bite in the surf with perch, croaker, and a few small corbina. Then, right at dark got a spot fin! was fun on the perch gear. btw, my feet are huge...

They are in there and I tend to try for them with very light tackle (my sierra trout setup). If you can get away from the turtles you may find some nice ones.

There are fish in both the big pond and the little one, although the little one has just about zero shore access so is nearly impossible to fish. Turn them on their back and carefully use a pliers, it is often quite a battle with them biting the pliers. If they swallow it, I just cut the line. Last week I caught one with 3 hooks in it and was able to remove all of them (one was mine...)

Had a rough morning...I was shore pounding and pretty much threw the entire tackle box at and was rewarded with 0 bites. Maybe I need to be more patient? Around 10 am I reluctantly tied on the wacky rig and salvaged the day with a couple.

From the website it looks like the rental boats have trolling motors...Maybe I'll give Hodges a rest and try it over there. Thanks for the tips.

Funny VinnyBass same exact bait for my old profile pic...although I suspect a different body of water... Full(er) story: I was throwing some spinners and other "noisy" baits and standing barefooted on a tulle stump and something tickled my foot...I looked down and it was a small crayfish.....

Not the biggest, but they sure are pretty little ones!
