Hodges reopener
Didn' t even know it was going to really open but I made the trip with my float tube but didn't get on the water until maybe 10 am. It was sad to see this lake in the shape that it is in. I have fished here for at least 30 years and at one time it was the go to lake for double digit bass. The lake i...

Re: Hodges reopener
IMG_8436.jpg Here are a couple of pictures of the fish I promised to upload from yesterday. After reading the responses of the catches that were made about the sizes of fish caught leads me to the conclusion that the fish are highly concentrated in the water that is left and it does give me a glimm...

Hodges
Got to the lake at 4:40 am and was about 10th in line. I went around all the cars that stopped to go to concession to buy permits and straight to permit machine and had front row parking at the launch. Was on the puddle by 5;45 and kicked across and started throwing my finesse jigs. Got a couple clo...

SD River & more
This month I have been fishing alot at the SD river. I have spent a few trips to Sa V and Hodges also . I've been concentrating my efforts almost exclusively to finesse jigs. I have had considerable success with a round ball head in sizes less than 1/8 oz with weedgaurd and trimmed down skirts and u...

Re: SD River & more
Finesse jigs are fun to fish, because they get a lot more bites. I use them at our small city ponds and have had some pretty nice fish inhale it, but the 1 pounders have no problems smacking them. Problem is, it seems the only ones you can find readily available are the Keitech series of finesse ji...

Re: SD River & more
Nice job out there @DarkShadow. I fixed the pics and looks like you are having lots of fun on the water. Finesse jigs working for you and that's great! The bass see so many worms and they probably think..hey..what the heck is this and gobble it down. I caught some bass earlier in the year on Keitec...

Hodges Rewards me
Was on the lake heading to the Del Dios arm by 5;30 am . Didnt have much action picked up a couple clone fish but nothing to write home about. I threw shad raps, micro jigs, spinner baits and sencos > everyone i talked too was saying it had slowed down. About 9;30 I put on a finesse football jig on ...

Well after my last great session at Lake Hodges I went back yesterday and was on the water to early my old body was saying to me. I wanted to make it back to the structure I fished with great success my last time. It was a hell of a swim backwards even though i was using my new drill paddle i made. ...

San Vee
Went out to San Vee monday mainly to test out my motor after being fixed. I found the motor ran extremely well, but my fishing seemed to need the work now. I caught a couple pint sized dinks on d/s to avoid the skunk but I was throwing jigs all day or at least until it got to damn hot to fish. I hav...

What a great video with lots of good tips. Where do you launch your paddleboard from? Can you launch a kayak from there also or a float tube?. I have been dropshotting zoom flukes for quite a while with good success but i use alot more weight than you seem to. re a reason for this? It looks like you...
