Re: The City of San Diego is at it again!

They would spend it else where, and blame global warming.
I think it was the Rougarou .

Re: The City of San Diego is at it again!

It’s all those sexy street repairs that the city is so diligently working on. Gotta grease the hinges on all those gates at the border too. Jump the border and you’re handed a silver platter of benefits at our expense…sneak into a lake at night, catch and release, leave no trace and you get the book...

Back to back casts 5/17

Like @VinnyBass I figure you are all tired of seeing my Murray posts. Still, I thought I'd share a couple of pics of a decent bass and a large bluegill caught on consecutive casts with the same bait. Fun!

Re: Back to back casts 5/17

Very nice. Looks that big bluegill hasn't come up shallow enough to get much color yet.

Re: Back to back casts 5/17

Great job out there as always. I can't wait to get on some big bluegill soon. Hopefully at Barrett on Sunday! It looks like you were using the same bait from your big one at Hodges not too long ago. I look forward to seeing you on the water again soon. Cheers! Going tomorrow as well. Will look for ...

Sunday May 19th

I’m sure some of the regulars had typical May Barrett days but we sure didn’t. The girl and I teamed up for 25 bass to 3lbs but it was a pick at best with no topwater or boilers to throw at. A far cry from our 44 last Saturday in a short morning session. My guess is the wind and cold, wet foggy cond...

Re: Sunday 5/19 Report. Jig bite was on!

You were spot on with the deeper bite. We enjoyed watching you two dissect that flat across from us, it produced for hours! We think the big one that finally broke Cynthia off after our Chinese fire drill was a hefty cat. Interesting that Brad got into one too.

Barrett Report May 22

Got on the water dark and early with Chuck at about 0430. Freeeeeezing cold this morning. Truck temp gauge told me it was 42F, but it seemed colder. Light wind too, so that probably didn't help. Pedaled over to where it was good last week, and it was decent, but not as good. First fish in the boat o...

5/24- Return to Lake D & K

Haven't been back to the lake since April 12 and boy did the water level rise. It takes a lot longer to get there than going to Lake Murray and arrived a little after 6 a.m. As I parked next to McFish's truck, both he and Fisheromen already were out on the water. But wait, I turn to the right and th...

SATURDAY morning bite

Got to the lake at 6 today was a little chilly but not too bad.Parking however was a mess but was still able to get a decent spot. I usually hit the first cove but decided to head straight for hauser, flipped the edges of trees with no luck ... headed for the middle of the lake to deep crank but i w...

Barrett Report May 26

Got out nice and early on the water today. It wasn't too chilly then, but it changed. Pedaled over to the cove by the island at the opening of Hauser and got hits right away. It must have been dark for them too, the one I caught hit the popper at least 5 times before he got it. He was only about a p...

Otay May 27

Otherwise known as I’m ready for this May weather to go away. Arrived just after the gate opened and second to launch. Except we didn’t. It was near white capping straight from the east and darn chilly. Gave it 30 minutes and headed out. First stops were all along the eastern wind protected side of ...

5/28-Another Murray cat

Just thought I would share another cat I caught at Murray while fishing for bass on a spoon. This one weighed right around 7 1/2lbs. I thought it was a bass at first, but then the way it was fighting knew it was probably a cat. Anyway....it was a fun fight on a light rod with 8lb fluoro. IMG_2881.PN...
