Re: Fall Fishing El Cap

JWall wrote: Wed Nov 22, 2023 2:54 pm Thanks Pourboy and will look for you on the big bay if you are there Sunday. Tides are really smoking and there should be a good bite.

PS yes I saw the ned fish. That was a beefer! On my boat those automatically become the 5 pounders that got away 😂😂

Re: El Cap Tube Mobb Big Bass Tournament

I totally get it. This was the first one they’ve done by weight apparently and it went well so there should be more. It was a fun day for sure.

San Diego Bay Fishing Dialed In! With A Bonefish Bonus!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUeT8eabaLE Hey all I hope the holiday season is treating you right. I headed out to the big bay for some fishing and had not been out there in a while. Re: A Christmas Gift to Yourself?

During this special time of year(cannot talk about the religious aspects as you know), there is lots of giving to show our love or appreciation to our loved ones in our family and friends. There are gifts of all shapes and sizes and values given to others, but what is most important as they say.......

Oxbow Fishing the Colorado River and Lake Mohave

I headed to Lake Mohave over the Christmas holidays and ended up getting blown out for the most part, literally. The day I got there the wind was blowing 30-40...

Crawdads vs. Jigs: Which Will Catch More Bass

Crawdads vs. Jigs: Which Will Catch More? https://youtu.be/aooAO1DD0OE Hey all I hope you’re staying dry. Headed out to El Capitan this Sunday and decided I would fish crawdads. I used to love fishing crawdads and haven’t done it for a while because many of my old crawdad holes no longer hold them. ...

Re: Crawdads vs. Jigs: Which Will Catch More Bass

As always, great video and editing. What's the difference between green and red crawdads? Species? Diet? Life-cycle? Thanks so much! As far as I know the greens are juvenile and the reds are mature. At least when catching them I almost never found small reds. Not sure on what species we have here. ...

I do have a bunch of dads left from the trip. I think I'll take them to Hodges on Sunday. I don't want them to go to waste. Maybe do a Part 2 Video?

Re: Hodges opener?

Hey all I headed to the opener on Wednesday and to begin with it was mostly crappie guys. I ended up getting 2 bass. The first was on a Rapala DT 10 craw colored. The second I was just trolling back to the launch with a big 20+ old shad colored crank (I don't honestly remember what brand) and got on...

Re: Crawdads vs. Jigs: Which Will Catch More Bass

Bait fishing is an art form for sure! I think it's funny when people look down on others for it. It is not nearly as easy as it appears. Like fishing shiners and getting them to go where you want. For that I just use a Jedi mind control technique, but everyone has their own ways. Maybe I will see y...

Re: Lake Hodges

Get out there for carp now! There are literally hundred everywhere. I caught 2 by accident while bass fishing and had to leave one area because there were just too many around to fish. Bowhunters get out there now!! They are all over the shoreline.
