7/8- Miramar fun and done!
Loaded my kayak up and hit Lake Miramar on Monday. It was overcast, the water was high and caught my first bass on top which was a nice start. I started to catch bass on a topwater bait and in between a few bass that could not find my treble hooks. Anyway everything was going well as I began to pick...

Murray Giant on the underspin
Haven’t been on SDfish too much lately but I decided to post this catch. I was planning on taking out the kayak but didn’t want to go through the hassle of loading it up so instead, I went on the bank. I saw some fish busting so I decided to throw a small 2.8 Keitech on an underspin. I got caught on...

Otay 7/20
Had a 16 fish day today at Otay. Walking baits, poppers, jerk and crankbaits all produced. Even picked up a few worm fish after it got hot. All in all a beautiful Saturday morning. The straits looked more like a mud flat as i started on the north side . I All those good rocky out cro...

Famine to Feast Otay 7/24
Well El Cap may have been a grind yesterday, but Otay was amazing today! I kinda lost count a little bit but my final total was somewhere between 50-60 bass and 1 Bluegill. Most of the bass were topwater with 15 or so coming as a combination of cranks, jerks and even a few worms. It was awesome to f...

Spotties using new technique
My right hand has carpal tunnel and it's been painful casting and stripping line for extended periods of time. I borrowed a technique used by stillwater guys, using a floating line, long mono leader, and break-away strike indicator. The idea was to adjust the leader length below the indicator to fis...
