What it’s all about.
Some of you guys have known me and my family for a while. We ALL fish. Well, we’ve been teaching my youngest (Isabella) how to use a proper spinning setup for the last year. She’s 6yrs mind you. She’s now become sufficient enough to cast, reel on her own. Just the basic worm set up. Mostly just dire...

Hodges was Hot (and the weather, too)
Usually I hit up Hodges in the mornings, but today I had a couple hours to spare, and so I decided to head out at 2:30pm – and boy was it HOT, and WINDY. I totally forgot the wind picks up big time in the afternoon. And it's probably why I only saw a couple kayaks and a float tube in the w...

Big bay 7-29
Hit the big bay today. Launched the whaler at 830 am outta shelter which was a little crowded with the right side of the loading dock out of commission. I went out in guide mode taking a buddy and his 8 yo son out both of which have very little fishing experience. Needed to get the boy on fish so we...

Lake Murray Surprise! 10/26/23
was fishing an underspin and landed a few 2 pound largemouths when suddenly something slammed my lure and bent my medium heavy rod over and started peeling drag. Turned out that a 15.2 pound catfish thought the swimbait looked tasty as well!

Triton Lobster
My son is out for the weekend from college, instead of meeting him for dinner, I like to spend the day outside fishing. We tried something new in lobster fishing. San Vicente Boilers (Video)
Fished San V a few times this past week and both days had a fun bite on breaking fishing all around the lake. Best action was before the breeze picked up from 8-12pm. Quick accurate casts and small flukes worked on or just under the surface was the key to success. A few fish also came on the dead st...

Re: Mission Bay 11/3
1/2 oz, I would throw my lure an Let sink to the bottom, then start reeling it back up to my boat. It can't be my than 12 Feet deep. I would get hit on the way up.than I would just move a little bit to another spot. I have a trolling motor so I can be very quiet moving around.
