Been having fun with the ghosts this spring. second photo fish just squeaked by 35”. 3 legals for me from shore this year.

They should use those macs as bait, not eat them....smh!!

Have caught a few dinks in the surf recently. Nothing impressive at all. But today one short hali maybe 20” spit up this thing which i learned is a queenfish. Pretty cool

Mission beach has a lot of halibut and is definitely worth trying

Went to one of my local little spots. Watched a guy pull up an 8” calico on shrimp, bash it over the head with a rock then filet it. Called fish and game took a few mins to get a live operator. Shore fishing can be extremely dangerous in that area. Swell will be massive and brutal. Might try the bay

Disgusting and disgraceful the only guys fishing off sport boats dont have the talent to find and catch the fish themselves from shore

We need more regulations and MPAs

still full blown red tide from IB north to Solana, I just checked yesterday. I wouldnt waste my time honestly

Probably Jack Mackerel. Nothing too exciting. Try tossing a top water plug around the big bay or mission bay for Corvina. Try walking and casting for hours on end and eventually maybe you will get a look. Likely not though so try to just enjoy being outside
