So you fish during high tide? For these beaches I usually go during low tide, preferably negative tide, when I can wade in and cast to farther structures that are permanently submerged. Do you find high tide also productive for these areas?

....with one nice fish. That pretty much sums up my evening on the sand. During the summer, we go to the beach as a family every Friday afternoon with a group of other families. It's mostly just hanging out, but I always bring a rod or two so I can toss a few casts when the opportunity presents itse...

Met a couple of buddies for a little surf fishing... Ton's of small sand crabs everywhere, so doubling or tripling them up was the bait of choice... Also tons of small BSP for the taking... We all got all we needed of them but were hoping for corbina or croakers.. One buddy got 3, and I got one.... ...

Honestly at this time of year it's probably much much easier to get them from the surf than in the bays from shore. Just use a carolina rig with a small grub or sand crabs.

I agree with @KamWalsh . Once summer rolls around the surf would be my first destination to look for YFC. The river side of the South Mission Bay jetty would be my other destination.

My first spotfin! Red krabbypatty fly at Blacks, 7:00AM, -1ft tide. Kelp was a nuisance and got worse as the tide came in. I did not see any corbina.

Off the dock below Bali Hai yesterday. It was hot and muggy down there, water was glass. Only fish I caught and I tossed that jig wayyyyyy out there and let it sink

I fished low tide 7:30 am to 10;00 am. It was very very low. Haven't seen that low in a long time. Caught 11 Bass.. fun morning. Bass were hitting crazy. Lot of bites I missed.
