4/14 Reds and Reds

Great fishing on the DD for some taco eaters. Great time on the water, good time with friends. I was stressed to fish a straight forward rig as possible. I fished 80lb to 40lb with 16oz of lead, 3/0s, wished I fished 5/0s. Caught my 4 reds, my girl caught 4, and then I stopped fishing after another ...

How do you decide where to fish?

Salt or fresh? Bay or surf? Creeks or lakes? Which bay? Which beach? Which lake? Which creek? Which area? Rocks or sand? Grass or channels? Oh, first-world San Diegan problems. Every time I get the opportunity to fish, it's "struggle" on where to go. Doesn't help that I only get a few hour...

Re: How do you decide where to fish?

Depends on time. 45 minutes, mission Bay is close, a little more time and SSC or LJ come into play. A whole day? IV every time.. otherwise I'll just do what I can and not worry about it...

Monday San Vee trip

I got to the lake about 6:30am, caught five bass real quick, all males cruising the bank, so i thought I would try for a few bluegill.
Caught six nice ones .
I’ll try to post the pictures of bluegill.

Re: How do you decide where to fish?

https://pickerwheel.com/?id=MmKkS Friday afternoons I need some help... Just for San Diego! You can make your own, add your own choices. This will probably come in handy more often than the current conditions dictate. During the summer, when my availability aligns with the incoming tide, you can be...

Thanks for thinking of me. @Str8t Slabaronies was kind enough to text me. Those are beautiful fish. I have issues that have kept me off the water this year so far, but I think I'm close to coming back.

How to rotate photos / images if they show up sideways?

After you upload an image simply click on the rotating arrow next to the image title as shown on the screenshot below.
Then click on the image thumbnail and rotate the image so it's in the correct position.
Save the image and submit your post. Done!

Re: Old SDBay Info Post from SDFish

Letting everyone know that the Wayback Machine (internet archive) has some priceless SDFish items saved, like the DJThrills piece: https://web.archive.org/web/20210422000049/https://sdfish.com/forums/t/fishing-san-diego-bay.163428/ It LOOKS LIKE the SDFish site but is actually only a "snapshot...

Donald and Keiffer stirring

Well for the first few hours it seemed like bad business as usual at the old lake. Just cold and rainy! The game plan was to throw a buzz bait through flooded brush. If that failed, a spinnerbait through flooded brush. I just knew they had to be in flooded brush! Well, if they were, they were not in...

Lake Moreno

Went back out - hiked the east side up to the creek - water is way up - banks are 100 yards form where they should be - anyway, saw a few carp - the bass were eager, so still no carp for me - Henshaw has been the best so far for me in amount of carp seen
